Lakeshore Development Permits

All lakeshore development requires approval from the Municipality as well as the Water Security Agency.  Does your project include: rock riprap, gabion baskets, shoreline stabilization or any other removal or placement along the shoreline? You must submit a development permit application as well as a detailed site plan.
There is a $25.00 application fee payable by cheque or cash.  Please keep in mind that the RM requires the Water Security Agency permit approval before any RM approval will be considered.

Please note that approaches, culverts and tree planting require an approved development permit and site plan. You must submit a development permit application as well as a detailed site plan.  There is a $25.00 fee payable by cash or cheque.

Development Permits and Building Permits


All building permit applications must begin with a Building Permit Package.  This will also include the Development Permit, which is required. Please allow four to six weeks to process all Permit Applications.

All plans must be submitted to the RM office.

 

Moving Permits

You will also require a permit to move a building into the RM.  The cost for a moving permit is $50.00.  There is a $3,000.00 damage deposit that is required when moving in a building.  Monies may be returned when it is established no damage to the RM roads or Public/Environment Reserves has occurred.  The deposit is required at least 6 weeks prior to the building move in date.

  

Demolition Permits

If you are wanting to demolish a building, the following permit application must be submitted accompanied by the demolition permit fee of $50.00. There is a $1,000.00 damage deposit that is required when demolishing a building. Monies shall be returned when it is established that the condition of the site is not dangerous to public safety and the site is restored to satisfactory condition.
