The RM of McKillop, No 220 has received the following documents for consideration:
RE: Discretionary Use Application SE 10-23-23-W2, Gravel Extraction and Storage, SW 30-23-22-W2, – Asphalt Plant
An application for development for a discretionary use has been presented to the R.M. of McKillop No. 220 council for consideration. As part of the legislative process, prior to council making a decision of a discretionary use application each owner of property within a 1.6-kilometre radius will be notified.
Public Notice has been hereby given, pursuant to section 126.96.36.199 of Bylaw 376/2019 being the Rural Municipality of McKillop No. 220 Zoning Bylaw, that the Rural Municipality of McKillop No. 220 has received an application under Section 8.2.:
8.2 Discretionary Uses
Aggregate extraction, storage and processing is an allowable discretionary use that may be permitted at Council’s discretion.
The discretionary use application involves a gravel pit and stockpile to be located at SE 10-23-23 and a portable asphalt plant located at SW 30-23-22-W2. The discretionary use application is temporary and will be used to service the Department of Highways project to improve Highways 322 and 220.
The R.M. will receive written feedback regarding this proposal until 8am on February 9th, 2021. A virtual public meeting will be held at 9:00am on February 9th, 2021 for any person or persons wishing to speak to council. Any questions about the application or how you can speak at the meeting can be answered by the office staff.
