As a strong proponent of municipal government transparency, the R.M. of McKillop No. 220 ("RM") will be been posting the audio recordings of Regular Council Meetings on its website for the general public to view. However, the RM retains copyright and ownership in all audio recordings, unless otherwise noted. The audio recordings may not be copied, distributed, modified, altered, re-used, "framed", "mirrored" or republished without the express prior written permission of the RM. The RM reserves all other rights. The content of these audio files are not generally censored by the RM and the RM is not liable for, and does not necessarily endorse, any of the statements contained within the audio recordings. Consulting and hearing from the members of the public are important aspects of Regular Council Meetings. As such, Regular Council Meetings allow for a "Public Forum" which permits members of the public to speak about municipal matters, provided that they comply with Bylaw No. 406-2020. The matters raised during the Public Forum are also generally uncensored by Council and are not necessarily endorsed by Council. Council shall similarly not be liable for any statements made during the Public Forum portion of the Regular Council Meetings. While Council encourages all members of the public who wish to speak about municipal matters to raise those matters during the Public Forum, Council also encourages that members of the public refrain making vexatious or inflammatory statements, including making allegations against, members of Council, Administration or RM staff, within that context. Should a member of the public wish to raise issues or concerns with respect to members of Council, Administration or RM staff, we strongly encourage that those matters be raised in the appropriate forums to ensure that Council Meetings remain respectful and productive.
